  1. Dear Sherwin-Williams Company,

My name is Andrew Rozmus, I am 16 years old, and I am currently working on a service project to obtain donations of personal protective equipment for our local doctors and hospitals who are unfortunately out or running out due to all the work involved in fighting the coronavirus. I understand that you also busy with challenges running your own business and also the equipment you normally use and sell is not usually used medically, but there is a national emergency going on, so doctors and nurses are using whatever they can get because any protection they can get is better than nothing. We cannot allow these medical people to get sick themselves.

I was wondering if you could help me achieve my goal of 1,000 masks. Mr. Joe Chapetta of Chicago hardwood flooring already has provided me 540 N95 respirators, model #8511 from 3M, so I am more than halfway there. This was a huge donation, and I was so thankful, but anything, anything at all will help.

If you are interested even in donating a box or two that would be great even if you have masks that are N95 respirators, medical people would be interested. I would be able to let you know what facility or facilities we donated to and we would be happy to give you and your company credit for the donation with that facility. Also, if you are interested, we would be able to let you know where to send the masks or we could work to figure out how to arrange for them to be picked up.

Thank you for considering this. I would appreciate knowing either way if you are able to help and I understand if you cannot, but even if you can spare something it might help save someone’s life or protect a doctor or nurse who might help save 1,000 people’s lives or more, so even a small donation of masks could make a huge difference. Please contact me whether you are able to assist or not via the email below.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration,
    Andrew Rozmus

  2. Concerning the preliminary designs of the new SWH in downtown Cleveland… As a City Planner, from what I have seen of the modelled designs; in my opinion, it appears as though a mirrored second tombstone post-modern designed building will disgrace the grand people’s ﹰPublic Square. That is, IF your designers continue down your profit-only model…

Please note, it will be so disappointing if any public official and/or Planning Commission/ Design Review board members would allow such a simple design to be approved and built on one of CLEVELAND’S greatest and MAGNIFICENT SHOWCASE pieces of real estate… Yes, it will be TRAGIC if the current design represented is even remotely what will be built next to one of AMERICA’S great urban spaces!

Please be aware that the NW quadrant of Public Square has been sitting vacant for decades; but has NOT been idle for a simple corporate-driven non-iconic building that would be more fitting for an edge-city of anywhere suburbia!

Shame on anyone whom allows such a bland post-modern death box to grace our PUBLIC SQUARE!

In fact, that NW quadrant has ONLY been waiting for an ICONIC beautiful building which gracefully connects the SQUARE and its surroundings. That GRAND space is meant for ONLY a beautifully designed tower that connects the famed Terminal Tower to Cleveland’s rich history and its surroundings!

Please see to it that design possibilities can be open for ALL the citizenry of CLEVELAND to be proud of and not just corporate interests…
